At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering and leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing the Mechanical Integration team, ensuring the deployment of QMS and the corresponding Métier Technical Referential for the Mechanical Integration domain on-site. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Technical Design, Central Engineering, and Workload Management), oversee the team’s workload, and ensure the successful delivery of projects and programs.
You’ll specifically take care of defining mitigation plans for identified risks and validating technical documents, but also supporting the team in resolving challenges and ensuring continuous improvement.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensuring understanding and application of TD rules, processes, and tools for the Mechanical Integration domain
- Fostering effective collaboration with other domains within TD
- Allocating adequate resources to projects/programs/tenders
- Managing the development of the Mechanical Integration team to ensure capacity, workload, and skills alignment
- Forecasting workload and identifying necessary resources to secure QCD commitments
- Defining and implementing mitigation plans for identified risks
- Supporting the team in resolving issues and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Reporting on activities and alerting relevant stakeholders to potential challenges
- Validating technical documents such as 3D models and 2D assembly drawings
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master of Science preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering applied to structural systems
- Detailed knowledge of structural design, calculation, and special processes
- General knowledge of train mechanical architecture, interface management, crash, mechanical integration, system engineering, materials, and project management (quality, cost, delay)
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Fluency in French and English. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset when working with international partners, suppliers, colleagues, and customers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution and customer satisfaction orientation
- Organized, rigorous, and adaptable with a hands-on approach
- Resilient and able to lead a team effectively
