ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
- Current certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Current BCLS & ACLS certification required.
- BScN preferred.
- Recognized OR course or equivalent from Community College.
- Recent O.R. experience (within past 3 years) required.
- Cardiovascular Module Certification of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years) required.
-Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and treatment of Arrhythmias, Life Saving Drugs, Application of Energy required.
- 2 years surgical experience required.
- Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hire required.
- Canadian Perioperative Certification preferred.
- Member of RNAO preferred.
- Satisfactory attendance.
