Rosewood Hotel Georgia, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an exceptional and extraordinary Events Sales Manager. 

The Events Sales Manager is responsible for generating banquet revenue for the assigned market segment (which may vary based on hotel needs), assisting in the overall management of the Catering Department, and overseeing the execution and operational management of all group files assigned by the Senior Events Sales Manager.

 

ROLE RESPONSABILITIES REVIEW:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Solicit new corporate business through direct external sales activities, including telephone outreach.
  • Create, implement, and monitor sales action plans.
  • Proactively upsell products and services to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate planners through regular communication and entertainment.

 

Client & Inquiry Management:

  • Respond to all catering inquiries, including walk-ins, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the servicing of conference and group business as required.
  • Interact effectively with guests to complete assignments and resolve concerns or complaints.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns.

 

Contracting & Revenue Management:

  • Negotiate catering contracts with clients.
  • Ensure food and beverage minimum revenue requirements are met.
  • Review and verify all banquet postings prior to issuing final invoices.
  • Ensure all files are properly closed with final guest counts entered, no pending balances, and commissions processed in a timely manner when applicable.

 

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Coordinate food and beverage details, floor plans, and miscellaneous event requirements with clients.
  • Work closely with the Culinary Team and Senior Event Sales Manager to customize menus and pricing.
  • Coordinate catering activities with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare, issue, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Attend and conduct BEO meetings with Kitchen, Banquets, Stewarding, and AV suppliers.

 

Operations & Service Quality:

  • Ensure service standards are consistently maintained at a superior level.
  • Monitor banquet services and participate in quality control initiatives.
  • Promptly inform the Senior Event Sales Manager of any operational or service issues to allow immediate corrective action.

 

Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Supervise, direct, coordinate, and influence staff to maintain hotel service standards.
  • Interact effectively with colleagues and staff to complete assignments and resolve issues.
  • Maintain courteous and professional interactions with staff and community members at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and forecasts related to assigned market segments.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of, and compliance with, all departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.

 

Critial Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three to five years of management experience in the hospitality industry, with a preference for experience in the Sales division and in luxury or ultra-luxury properties.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Proven ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize and organize tasks; follow up effectively; and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • Ability to remain calm, resolve problems efficiently, and work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of guest service expectations and the ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information, build rapport, and influence outcomes.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations management, quality standards, and luxury/ultra-luxury market expectations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality systems and software, along with an understanding of industry trends, performance metrics, and terminology.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of guest and hotel business information.

 

**Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization. **

 

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, location, and education.
