Permanent Casual Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
About Us
Hanover & District Hospital (HDH) works with its partners to provide a full range of primary
acute care hospital services and selected secondary services to meet the needs of the
population of Hanover and the surrounding rural townships. HDH provides the people we
service access to the care they need through 24/7 Emergency Department, Acute Care Unit
(inclusive of medical/surgical beds and multipurpose ICU beds), Physiotherapy Program,
Surgical Services Department, Family Centered Birthing Unit, Hemodialysis Unit, Palliative Care
Services and Ambulatory Clinics.
HDH has proudly achieved “Accreditation with Exemplary Standing” for the third time through
Accreditation Canada. This speaks to the entire organization and the way our staff in all

Temporary Part Time Medical Radiation Technologist for our Diagnostic Imaging department.
HOURS – Currently Days/Evenings, 8 hour and 12 hour shifts, including weekends and
statutory holidays. (Subject to change in accordance to operational needs).
START DATE: November 6, 2025
Wage Range $36.84-$50.24

YOU HAVE
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation
Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO);
-
Maintains continuing Education records to meet college standards
-
Registration with the CAMRT/OAMRT is preferred
-
Previous CT experience required
-
CT Level 1 required (with expectation of furthering CT education);
-
Experience in additional disciplines i.e. mammography would be an asset;
-
Current CPR certification;
-
Demonstrate skills in the efficient and effective provision of patient care services
-
Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
-
Sound judgment and execution skills when relating to patients, families, co-workers and
interdisciplinary teams
-
Experience with Windows and Microsoft applications; and
-
On-call and weekends required.

The original hospital was established in 1923 and a new acute care hospital was build in 1973. It is a state of the art facility with a 24 hour Emergency Department.
The Hospital's vision is to be a rural acute care center of excellence and its primary goal is to achieve organizational excellence in patient safety and care closer to home.
The services provided include: two state of the art Operating Rooms, Day Surgery, Obstetrics, Emergency Department, Specialist Clinics, Medical/Surgical In-patient Unit, Special Care Unit, Palliative Care, Hemodialysis Unit, Rehabilitation Services, Laboratory Services, and Diagnostic Imaging.
Other services located within the building include: Home & Community Support Services (HCSS), Family Health Team (FHT), a Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, Surgical Services, Chaplaincy Services, Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), Diabetic Education and Community Care Access Center (CCAC).
