Pay Band $85,000.00 to $116,2000.00

Role:

This positionis responsible fortheaccurate, efficient, and safe movement of cases into the warehouse and onto our trucks and onward to our customers. With, and through their team of Supervisors and Clerks theyare responsible fordirecting and coordinating the activities of inbound and outbound warehouse workers engaged in receiving, put-away, replenishment, selecting, loading, stacking, etc. of food service and food related products.

RoleResponsibilities:

  • Plan, manage and control all aspects of the warehouse operations

  • Health and Safety compliancein accordance withcompany policies.

  • Provide leadership byestablishingclear expectations anddemonstratinghigh standardsof work practices andsafety consciousbehavior.

  • Establish,maintainand promotehigh standardsof customer service.

  • Ensure compliance with OHS procedures and practices.

  • Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control.

  • Administration duties asrequiredto ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.

  • Ensureall resources areutilizedefficiently.

  • Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse through the use of KP l's, with a primary focus on cost controls.

  • Liaison person to the Director of Operations, implement and manage operational plans

  • Be proactive in the recruitment and training process,establishwork schedules, supervise staff,evaluateandmonitorperformance of staff to ensure required levels of productivity and organizationalobjectivesare met

  • Oversees the quality and accuracy of inbound receipt

  • Ensures that receiving activities aremonitoredby warehouse management staff.

  • Oversees the quality and accuracy of orderselection

  • Ensures that loading activities aremonitoredby warehouse management staff. Ensures special loading requests are completed as requested

  • Monitors stocking and replenishment accuracy & efficiency

  • Monitors loading schedule requirements

  • Reviews and evaluates the cause of mis-shipments

  • Develops team and individual goals andobjectives

  • Supports the implementation of programs with EHS

  • Develops andmaintainscommunication with other departments to enhance the

  • overall organization and efficiency

  • Analyzes,identifies, and proposes solutions to problems within the warehouse operations

  • Determineswork procedures, prepares workschedulesandexpeditesworkflow

  • Studies and standardizes procedures

  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances with HR support

  • Oversees investigation of customer complaints involving such matters as damaged items ormis-picks

  • Supports the training and development of staff

  • Supports the creation of, and reviews employee performance evaluations

  • Provides feedback on the performance ofcolleagues by monitoring activities and reports

  • Completes personnel records and forms asrequired

  • Assistsin human resources actions as requested

  • If applicable, understand and interpret the CBA,participatein grievance, mediation, arbitration procedures at unionized facilities

  • Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals, and scheduling of direct reports.

  • Complies withSysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

  • Understands that their role is critical in creating a safe organization with minimal environmental impact and the value that brings to the organization.

  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding their team accountable tocomplyingwith EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

  • Enable,championand embrace an inclusive culture

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience leading a team, experience leading front-line supervisors preferred.

  • Minimum High School diploma
