Our client, a well-established and growing engineering consulting firm located on the South Shore of Quebec City, specializes in structural design for commercial, industrial, and multi-residential buildings. They are currently seeking a Drafter to actively contribute to the design and monitoring of projects. Tasks
- Design and produce structural plans (concrete, steel, wood, masonry) based on concepts provided by engineers.
- Create detailed technical drawings using specialized software (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Prepare technical documents for tenders and construction work.
- Participate in technical coordination with other disciplines (architecture, mechanical, electrical).
- Assist with structural analysis and modeling of components according to current standards.
- Conduct site surveys, compile data, and adjust plans as needed.
- Take part in coordination meetings with the project team.
- Perform site visits to ensure work complies with plans.
- Write inspection reports, identify deficiencies, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain consistent communication with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timelines, quality standards, and client requirements are met.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.

Job requirements
- DEC in Civil Engineering or Architectural Technology, or a DEP in Building Drafting.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in building structures (consulting engineering is an asset).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is an asset).
- Solid understanding of construction standards.
Desired profile
- Leadership, sound judgment, versatility, and discipline.
- Excellent communication skills in French (Spanish is an asset).
- Ability to manage conflicts, structure work, and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail, autonomy, rigor, and communication skills.
