Role Description The Mobile Patrol Guard is a temporary, on-site role based in Kitchener, ON. In this position, the guard conducts regular mobile patrols of client properties, monitors for suspicious activity, and responds to alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance. Daily tasks include performing security checks, documenting observations and incidents, completing written reports, and communicating with clients, supervisors, and, when needed, local authorities. The guard helps enforce site rules and regulations, supports access control, and provides a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other risks. The role involves working varying shifts, operating a company or client vehicle in a safe manner, and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. Qualifications Strong observation, situational awareness, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and respond to security risks calmly and effectively. Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, coworkers, and authorities, and for preparing accurate incident reports. Ability to operate a vehicle safely, follow patrol routes, and adhere to traffic and site safety regulations; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred. Capacity to work on-site in varying weather conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform light physical tasks as required by patrol duties. Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and professionalism, with a strong customer service orientation and respect for confidentiality. Valid provincial security guard license (or eligibility to obtain), and familiarity with basic security and emergency response procedures. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or related fields is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for temporary assignments.
