This is a hybrid position with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role:

As a Cross-platform Media Creativity Manager, you will be responsible for ideating, building and selling custom marketing solutions. You will support Sales in the sell-through process, pitching key proposals directly to clients or advertising agencies. These projects span all platforms and assets across Radio-Canada and CBC, including broadcast, digital, social, branded content, integration, event, etc.

Furthermore, you will be creating effective solutions to deliver on our partner’s marketing plans.

You will work closely with the Radio-Canada Montreal content team, acting as the liaison of reference in Toronto on all Media Creativity initiatives relating to French Services content and platforms.

You will also contribute to growing Radio-Canada advertising revenue, reaching quarterly and yearly sales targets.

You will assist and support the Sales Director in annual revenue planning and business development by tracking revenue and conducting business analysis.

You will establish and maintain consistent business contact with the advertising agencies and clients, to ensure strong professional relationships and positive sentiment towards CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions. You will work with the project managers on execution of projects sold.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • University degree or equivalent; specialization in marketing, advertising or business development preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of marketing and/or media sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Quebec TV and digital media landscape, including Radio-Canada programming and/or competitive media outlets.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platform strategies.
  • Solid understanding of media industry; buying and/or planning.
  • You are self-motivated, proactive, with a solution focused mindset.
  • You’re a wizard with PowerPoint/Google Docs; bringing creative ideas to life in deck form.
  • Ability to write presentation documents in Powerpoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of Media Creativity tactics and products (TV, digital, social media and event marketing).
  • Proficient with the Google suite of products.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects at once; highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Advanced project & time management skills, and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); and ability to negotiate with senior executives (internal & external).
  • Superior oral presentation skills are a must.
  • Extensive travel between Montreal and Toronto.
  • Non-standard working hours/days.
  • Bilingualism in English and French, both written and spoken, is required.
