The Opportunity The firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Group in Vancouver, with a primary focus on private company clients . This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and clients on a wide variety of matters, including corporate governance, private M&A, and shareholder arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise private companies on structuring, governance, and compliance matters.
- Lead and support private M&A transactions, joint ventures, reorganizations, and shareholder arrangements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Work directly with clients, delivering practical and business-focused legal advice.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and offices on complex files.
- Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of corporate law experience, ideally with a focus on private company work.
- Experience in private M&A, reorganizations, shareholder arrangements, and commercial agreements.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- A proactive, business-oriented approach and sound judgment.
- Team player with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively.
- Membership (or eligibility) with the Law Society of British Columbia.
