About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end replacement of our ERP system. This is a mission-critical initiative, and the successful candidate will bring proven expertise in ERP implementations, operational process improvement, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the analysis of business operations including identifying inefficiencies and gaps, optimizing workflows, and gathering comprehensive requirements. The ideal candidate will also have experience creating and evaluating an RFP, evaluating, and selecting vendors, and ensuring successful system deployment and adoption. Experience with EPAI (Enterprise Process Automation and Intelligence) tools is a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the Operational Analysis & Improvement which includes:
- Thorough review of current business processes across departments and global offices.
- Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for process optimisation.
- Propose and document improved workflows and business practices aligned with industry best practices.
ERP Project Planning & Management
- Accountable for ensuring that the project is governed, planned, and executed within agreed scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of ERP replacement from assessment to post-deployment.
- Facilitate the gathering and documentation of business and technical requirements to fully define the project scope.
- Prepare and manage a detailed project plan, scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Define staffing strategy and identify resources required from internal and external vendors to achieve successful rollout.
- Manage risks and develops procedures to identify, determine, and resolve integrity and complex issues.
RFP Development & Vendor Selection
- Develop comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
- Manage vendor assessment, demonstrations, scoring, and selection processes.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams during contract negotiation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as primary point of contact for external ERP vendor(s).
- Ensure vendor deliverables align with requirements and timelines.
- Engage with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure needs are met.
Deployment & Change Management
- Oversee ERP deployment activities including configuration, testing, training, data migration, and go-live readiness.
- Lead organization-wide change management efforts to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between project goals and organizational readiness to drive long-term value realization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on leading ERP implementation/replacement.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret government clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and workflow design.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, and Business Central, SAP, etc.) and implementation best practices.
- Proven success managing complex RFP and vendor selection processes.
- Experience with EPAI tools (Enterprise Process Automation & Intelligence) is a strong asset.
- Excellent and proven communication and documentation skills.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
How We Work
As a Business Analyst, you will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.
