YOUR IMPACT
As an Office Services Coordinator on our Toronto Office Services Team, you will play a pivotal part in creating a world-class experience for our clients, colleagues, and visitors. You will take ownership of internal and external events, ensuring they are executed to McKinsey’s high standards of excellence, hospitality, and professionalism.
Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including signature client meetings, internal office events, Super Fridays, office lunches, and other gatherings, while serving as the primary point of contact for all event-related inquiries to ensure seamless communication and execution. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and deliver exceptional experiences that align with McKinsey’s high standards, managing room setups, including furniture arrangements, audiovisual (AV) requirements, and other logistical needs to ensure events run smoothly.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery, while overseeing inventory management for office supplies, kitchen essentials, and snack provisions to maintain appropriate stock levels. Additionally, you will process invoices related to events, supplies, and services with accuracy, ensuring timely follow-up with vendors or internal teams as needed.
You will provide direct assistance and back-up support to the Office Services Team Leader and teammates across various office services functions, while contributing to the overall success of the team by sharing best practices, collaborating on projects, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. Additionally, assisting with location and facility management tasks as needed to ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively meets the needs of all users.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 3 years of hospitality, corporate and/or professional services experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
- Proficient in rational decision making and problem solving based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
- Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs
- Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and Firm-related tools (Box, Slack)
- Ability to work independently and entrepreneurially, managing and prioritizing deadlines effectively
- Ability to influence and direct colleagues, and manage the needs of different stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Ability to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives across different formats
- This is an in-office role. Flexibility to work overtime occasionally, particularly for events, is required
- Proficiency and fluency in verbal and written English
