Position Title- PowerBI Developer
Location- Calgary, AB
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with a strong focus on PowerBI, Graph API, and Power Automate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting to a wide variety of data sources, including SQL Server, Excel, Azure, and APIs, to retrieve and integrate data. This role requires expertise in cleansing, transforming, and preparing data for analysis using Power Query (M Language) or DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for computations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and decision-making.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using PowerBI, Graph API, and Power Automate.

Connect to various data sources, including SQL Server, Excel, Azure, and APIs, to retrieve and integrate data effectively.

Utilize Power Query (M Language) and DAX for data cleansing, transformation, and preparation for analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and solutions.
-
Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and software development.
Mandatory Skills:
-
Strong expertise in PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
-
Proficient in Graph API for data integration and automation.
-
Extensive knowledge of Power Automate for workflow automation.
-
Experience in connecting to and integrating data from SQL Server, Excel, Azure, and various APIs.
-
Proficient in Power Query (M Language) for data transformation and cleansing.
-
Strong skills in DAX for data analysis and computations.
Preferred Skills:
-
Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and services.
-
Experience with data modeling and database design.
-
Knowledge of additional programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
-
Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
-
Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in PowerBI, Azure, or data analytics are a plus.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
