PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisors, or designates, the Student Operations Assistant assists department staff with inspection work in relation to transportation operations, and any other municipal work as required; uses GPS for inspection; technical work as required; office work as required, including scanning of documents, filing data input, and other work as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a program of study in engineering technology at a community college/university and returning in the fall of 2024.
  • Possess a valid “G” driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD.
