Job Description
Social is where energy, craft, and hospitality converge. From sunlit afternoons to vinyl-fueled nights in the hidden Listening Room, this is a space for hospitality professionals who thrive on curiosity, connection, and rhythm.
Here, cocktails tell stories, music sets the mood, and guests are invited to linger. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a passionate team, guiding memorable experiences through service, personality, and attention to detail. Every shift is hands-on, high-energy, and designed to delight.
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $71,000 - $77,000 per year, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead all front-of-house bar operations across the main bar, lounge, and Listening Room.
- Set, uphold, and evolve service standards that reflect energy, intention, and refined execution.
- Oversee scheduling, labor strategy, and daily operational readiness for a high-volume, beverage-led venue.
- Manage inventory, cost controls, supplier relationships, and operational systems.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and brand standards.
Experience & Storytelling
- Champion a cocktail-first program, including seasonal menus, large-format serves, wellness-forward creations, and rare spirit experiences.
- Own the Listening Room experience; discreet entry, ritual-led pours, curated vinyl, and storytelling-driven service.
- Collaborate closely with Culinary, Entertainment, and Leadership teams to shape pacing, mood, and guest flow.
- Maintain consistency of tone; confident, curious, and intentional, from day service through late-night energy.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop bartenders and service staff through mentorship, trust, and accountability.
- Inspire commitment and high performance by enrolling buy-in rather than directing through authority.
- Foster a culture of ownership, creativity, and emotional intelligence.
- Act as a visible, composed leader in the room, especially during high-energy or high-pressure services.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Proven leadership experience in beverage-led, high-volume hospitality environments.
- Deep knowledge of spirits, mixology techniques, and modern cocktail culture.
- A leadership style rooted in presence, collaboration, and shared accountability.
- Strong understanding of service flow, guest psychology, and atmosphere-driven experiences.
- Comfort leading teams in fast-paced, design-forward, high-expectation environments.
- ProServe certification required.
Bonus If You Bring
- Experience managing exclusive or concept-driven spaces (speakeasy, listening room, secret menu).
- Background in luxury hotels or destination nightlife concepts.
- Passion for evolving beverage programs and experiential bar models.
- Formal beverage, spirits, or leadership education.
Who You Are
You are a connector and catalyst, socially confident, perceptive, and driven. You thrive in environments where energy shifts throughout the day and night, and you find purpose in shaping both the guest experience and the team behind it.
You are persuasive without being forceful, decisive without being rigid. You lead conversations, anticipate moments, and motivate others through clarity and trust. Pressure sharpens your focus, not your tone.
At Social, you don’t just manage operations, you set the rhythm, guide the mood, and create the conditions for nights guests will remember long after the music fades.
Lead with intention. Stay moved.
Physical Demands
- Continuous standing and walking throughout service periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 11lbs (5kg); occasional lifting up to 22lbs (10kg).
- Ability to work at a faster-than-average pace in a high-energy bar environment.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
