ECS 101 – Education for Justice: Knowledge, Schooling and Society
The course provides an introduction to the foundations of teaching, including politics of education, ethical relationality, teacher identity and professionalism, conceptions of learners and learning, and teaching for justice, equality and equity.
Position Requirements
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset.
This position is located in Whitehorse and all applicants must be able to teach in-person.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
Lecture: Tuesday, 1300 – 1545
Field Placement Component – 4 ½ days on Wednesdays Sept 30 – Nov 25
Face to face delivery.
Whitehorse Term: September 1 – December 7, 2026
Off-campus location: WHITEHORSE
