About The Role
The Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant strategizes, designs, implements and evaluates training programs to improve employee skills, performance and organizational goals. This role partners with department heads and managers to assess organizational learning needs, develops tailored programs, facilitates training, and builds and maintains a central repository of learning resources.
Here's what you will be doing:
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs aligned to business objectives
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources tailored to diverse learning styles using a variety of delivery methods
- Source, evaluate, and manage external training vendors and e-learning solutions
- Facilitate in-house training sessions and workshops for employees and leaders
- Build a comprehensive learning curriculum supporting onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and skills training
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
- Partner with subject matter experts, trainers, and instructional designers to ensure training materials are accurate, engaging, and effective
- Establish evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI)
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of learning initiatives based on feedback and outcomes
- Develop and manage the annual learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of solutions
- Track and report training costs
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the Bank
- Maintain a central repository of resources, ensuring accessibility and relevance for employees
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to L&D
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and e-learning best practices
- Proven experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs
- Facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills
- Communication – ability to organize and express ideas effectively across verbal, written, and digital channels
- Time management – effectively manages priorities, projects, and resources to ensure training goals are met
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, or related HR field
- Demonstrated experience in training design, facilitation, and evaluation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and learning management systems (LMS)
