About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Centre, the Supervisor, Distribution and Warehouse is responsible for overseeing a team of Coke Canada drivers and warehouse employees. They ensure the products are properly received, stored, and effectively distributed to our customers. The Supervisor works as a coach and mentor to their team. To succeed in this position, the Supervisor must be capable of planning the workload, motivating their team, and offering great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of distribution and warehouse employees, while respecting budgetary constraints
- Maintain a safe work environment to enforce health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace
- Staff, train, coach, evaluate and develop team members
- Oversee the storage, as well as the shipping and receiving of goods
- Ensure adherence to delivery standards, efficiencies and regulatory requirements
- Manage drivers' delivery schedule and hours worked
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, resolving customer issues
- Serve as liaison between sales, distribution and warehouse to maintain efficient communication between functions
- Manage and audit team member's timekeeping
- Manage within labor and OPEX budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a related field, or experience deemed equivalent is required
- 1-3 years' experience in consumer products/direct store delivery required
- 1-3 years supervisory experience required
- Prior experience in distribution, retail, or warehouse required. Beverage industry is preferred
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Experience with MS Office and SAP computer tools
- Experience managing in a unionized environment is preferred
- Ability to make sound choices and recommendations based on analytical evaluations
- Ability to provide leadership, motivation, and training for development of the distribution team
- Ability to cultivate, manage and foster a diverse team of employees
- Ability to initiate activities and perform duties without direct supervision
- Possess excellent organization and time-management skills
