What is the opportunity?
An exciting opportunity to join as an Senior Associate/Associate within the Business Development team for Germany & Austria. This role will be responsible for supporting and helping to execute the agreed sales/service plan for FIG clients in Germany and Austria.
What will you do?
- Support the sales/service plan for FIG clients and prospects in Germany & Austria, covering FIG relationships, in line with the broader Global Business Development strategy and in support of the firm’s objectives.
- Take responsibility for client reporting matters/delivery (working closely with BlueBay’s Client Reporting team) and other periodic reports for marketing purposes.
- Coordinate presentation material for pitches and client reviews, working with BlueBay’s Presentation team and Institutional Portfolio Managers.
- Respond to client queries around investment guidelines, in collaboration with BlueBay’s Investment Portfolio Managers.
- Help with client/prospect information requests, guided by the responsible sales or client relations person.
- Host calls and meetings when required and where appropriate for due diligence, review or servicing purposes.
- Collaborate with Client Operations and Legal to ensure smooth and timely execution of contracts and agreements.
- Maintain and leverage off the Client Management System (currently SalesForce) to ensure the effective service of clients and prospects – this includes taking responsibility for the quality of the data input.
- Help to enhance efficiency, working with internal teams in London – this includes the further automation of client/prospect deliveries and the handling of investments through omnibus accounts.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in all related functions to build strong internal relationships to effectively support the regional business development.
- Have acute awareness of all marketing prohibitions, licensing requirements and permitted activities in the relevant jurisdictions in Northern Europe.
- Ensure that activities are in accordance with applicable local laws, including that funds and services are marketed only to eligible clients according to local regulations applicable in Northern Europe.
- Understand, follow and promote compliance with BlueBay’s Global Compliance Handbook and Policies with specific focus on the Business Development and Client Relations sections, Global marketing Policy and the requirements on dealing with the media.
- Ensure electronic communications, meetings and calls with investors are recorded in Salesforce.
