**Position Summary:**The Accounts Payable Assistant supports the finance team by processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule: Part-time, 10-20 hours as needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
