Context of the Intervention
xNorth is involved in a growth transformation project for one of its clients, focusing on optimizing Finance operations to support business growth and enhance financial governance. To achieve these objectives, xNorth is strengthening the accounting production and control processes in Canada. This support role will contribute to ensuring accurate accounting records, timely reporting, and strong coordination with external auditors.

The company operates through multiple regulated entities and a shared service model, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all accounting and financial reporting functions.
Role Overview
The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations. This includes bank reconciliations, journal entries, account certifications, and coordination with other team members. The role requires precision, accountability, and a strong understanding of financial control environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily and monthly accounting entries, including journal postings and account reconciliations.
- Perform account certifications and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide audit support documentation.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Support regulatory or group reporting submissions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a financial institution or broker-dealer.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and internal controls.
- Experience collaborating with external auditors.
- Exposure to regulatory or group reporting is an asset.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
- Bilingual French and English
