About the Role
The Vice President, Quality & Chief Nursing Executive (CNE) plays a critical role in advancing excellence in nursing, clinical quality, patient experience, and professional practice across QCH. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this executive leader sets the strategic direction for nursing and quality portfolios, ensuring alignment with QCH’s mission, values, and evolving system priorities.
The VP Quality & CNE provides visionary leadership for nursing professional practice, quality improvement, accreditation, patient relations, clinical risk management, and infection prevention and control. This role also leads strategic planning and oversight for a diverse set of clinical areas, which currently includes Medicine, Palliative Care, Childbirth, Professional Practice, Ambulatory Care, and programs such as TJAC, Chronic Disease Management, Skin & Wound Care, and Virtual Care. ( Portfolios may be adjusted based on the strengths and experience of the successful candidate.)
A highly collaborative and influential systems leader, the VP Quality & CNE represents QCH locally, regionally, and provincially—advocating for nursing excellence, strengthening integrated care, and advancing organizational quality and safety.

Experience & Education
QCH is looking for a future-focused and authentic nursing executive whose leadership is deeply rooted in advancing professional practice, strengthening quality management systems, and elevating patient experience across complex care environments.
The successful candidate is a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and holds a Master’s degree in a relevant health or business discipline. They bring 7–10 years of progressive acute care leadership experience and demonstrate a strong track record in driving quality improvement. Their ability to build trust, nurture high‑performing teams, and collaborate effectively across departments and system partners positions them to lead with clarity, influence, and impact.
