We're seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to serve as a vital link between Finance and IT, ensuring financial applications meet evolving business needs and performance standards. In this role, you'll lead and support impactful initiatives, guide teams through system enhancements, and help shape scalable, efficient processes. What You’ll Do:
- Supports small to medium-scale IT initiatives impacting Finance applications, guiding Finance SMEs through various phases (impact analysis, planning, requirements gathering, execution, and deployment) and collaborating with key partners to execute significant workstreams (requirements definition, solution/testing demos, UAT coordination, training, change readiness).
- Act as a point of contact between Finance and IT, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to ensure systems meet business expectations and performance standards.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes, maintaining comprehensive documentation and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with Finance teams to design and implement sustainable processes for ongoing system use and optimization.
- Participate in the maintenance and evolution of a centralized repository of Finance system documentation (e.g., project documentation, training and procedure materials, testing protocols).
- Support global Finance teams in process improvement and alignment initiatives, fostering consistency and efficiency across regions.
About You:
- A minimum of three (3) progressive years of experience in finance or business analysis.
- Post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Business Administration, Economics, Finance/Accounting).
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong organizational skills including change management, time management, the ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, and multi-task with limited supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate and interpret information accurately, develop and build relationships with team, internal and external partners.
- Ability to work independently, estimating time required to complete projects, follow up on assignments, and keep appropriate team members aware of progress.
- Strong interest to pursue continuous learning, overcome new challenges, and frequently volunteer for ad-hoc projects
- Strong computer skills including spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) management skills, knowledge of accounting software, and data visualization, manipulation software.
