Wage: $44-48/hour

Hours: 35 hours/week

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Youth Program Director to provide leadership across a range of youth services, including outreach and integrated youth hub programming.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multi-site youth programs supporting approximately 300-500 youth annually, while supporting staff teams, managing funding and reporting requirements, and strengthening partnerships with government and community stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture

  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, supervision, and performance management of staff

  • Oversee a range of youth programs including outreach, youth hubs, and clinics

  • Lead program planning, development, and continuous improvement in alignment with community needs and organizational priorities

  • Oversee program outcomes, evaluation, and reporting

  • Develop and monitor program budgets and ensure alignment with funding requirements

  • Ensure programs operate in accordance with accreditation requirements and relevant legislation

  • Oversee service tracking, caseload management, and documentation systems

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, and stakeholders, and represent the organization in the community

  • Ensure staff understand and follow agency policies, procedures, and standards

  • Develop work plans and provide regular reports to senior leadership and funders

  • Support staff in managing complex and high-risk situations

  • Remain current on emerging trends and best practices in youth and family services

  • Work collaboratively with the agency’s management team to support organizational planning, priority setting, and strategic initiatives

What We Are Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong planning, program development, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Experience with contract management and funding processes

  • Knowledge of community resources and service systems

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, partners, and stakeholders

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and MCFD policies, procedures, and protocols

  • Understanding of youth development, behaviour intervention, and family systems

  • Experience working with at-risk children, youth, and families with complex needs

  • Understanding of trauma, mental health, and their impact on individuals and families

  • Experience working with diverse populations

  • Knowledge of program evaluation and outcome measurement

  • Valid First Aid Certificate (OFA1 or equivalent)
