The organization values dignity, respect, and personalized care in every interaction. Role Description This full-time, on-site Personal Support Worker role is based in North York, ON. The Personal Support Worker will assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting, while promoting comfort, safety, and independence. Responsibilities include supporting clients with medication reminders (as appropriate), meal preparation, light housekeeping, and accompaniment to appointments or community activities. The role also involves observing and reporting changes in clients’ physical or emotional health, maintaining accurate documentation, and following care plans and safety protocols. The Personal Support Worker will collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, client-centered care.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Support Worker skills, including direct personal care experience and familiarity with person-centered care practices. Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust, listen effectively, and interact respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues. Candidates should possess sound Safeguarding knowledge, including understanding of client safety, confidentiality, abuse prevention, and reporting procedures. Candidates should possess basic Technical Support skills, such as using electronic documentation systems and communicating via digital tools as required. Relevant education such as a Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent training in health or social care. Experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities in community or residential settings. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with personal care and mobility assistance in a safe manner. Current CPR/First Aid certification and clear background checks, as required by local regulations.
