Managing Editor
The ideal candidate has proven experience managing large-scale editorial operations and leading distributed content teams. This individual is able to execute strategy, maintain quality standards, and oversee workflows across multiple markets. A strong command of content production, SEO principles, and data-driven decision-making is essential. The role requires a structured, detail-oriented leader who can operate independently and maintain consistent output in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the North American content function and ensure delivery of high-quality, consistent output
- Oversee a team of four Content Managers and 20+ editors across all workflows.
- Onboard to internal tools, processes, editorial frameworks, and quality standards.
- Apply established SEO guidelines, content checklists, and performance benchmarks.
- Review data and performance metrics to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Manage market roadmaps, priorities, and content delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain accuracy, compliance, and editorial consistency.
- Implement KPIs to track performance and measure operational effectiveness.
- Optimise processes, introduce workflow improvements, and integrate AI-driven efficiencies.
- Coordinate with marketing, SEO, and data teams to align content with commercial goals.
- Support continuous improvement through structured feedback, testing, and analysis.
- Build and maintain scalable editorial systems to support long-term growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and managing digital content at scale.
- Strong understanding of SEO, content optimisation, and performance measurement.
- Experience leading and developing editorial teams in a structured environment.
- Ability to make data-informed decisions and apply performance insights.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to own market-level strategy, execution, and operational oversight.
