Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Assess patients' physical abilities. Examine the patient. Supervise technical and support staff. Plan physiotherapy programs. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Confer with other health professionals. Conduct research in physiotherapy. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Advise patients on health care. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Record and process patient data. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports. Conduct follow-up assessments. Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Supervision: Working groups. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Computer and technology knowledge: Virtualization. Personal suitability: Punctuality. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Interpersonal awareness.
