Location: This is a hybrid role with a minimum in-office requirement of 3 days per week in the Ottawa, ON office located at 40 Hines Rd, Ottawa, ON K2K 2M5.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to work on Trend Vision One™ Platform (https://www.trendmicro.com/en\_us/business/products/one-platform.html). You will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting high-quality solutions for Attack Surface Risk Management on the platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a featured service owner, work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain robust and scalable solutions on Trend Vision One™ Platform Data Lakes and Lakehouse for Cyber Risk Exposure Management(https://www.trendmicro.com/en\_ca/business/products/cyber-risk-exposure-management.html ) and CyberSecurity DigitalTwin (

    https://www.trendmicro.com/en\_ca/business/ai.html

    ).

  • Work on Trend Micro VisionOne data platform for volume data ETL, data correlation , risk assessment framework implementation, ML/AI application and digital twin modeling

  • Participate in on-call rotations to support and debug customer-reported issues as well as internally created service incidents.

  • Take time for learning and continuous improvement, with opportunities to learn and teach skills across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with 2+ years of experience in cloud-native backend development, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Programming & System Design.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, with the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Data Engineering & AI.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark for batch and real-time streaming workloads, including optimization and production deployment.
  • Proven ability to design and manage large-scale data lake and lakehouse solutions that enable machine learning pipelines, AI-driven analytics, and big data processing.
  • Knowledge of graph databases and graph computing frameworks for relationship modeling, recommendation engines, and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and integrating AI agents using Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a plus.
  • Cloud Infrastructure & DevSecOps.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong grasp of DevSecOps: CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), security enforcement, and observability.
  • Security & Risk Management.
  • Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity/Risk Management Framework, Cyber Risk Quantification (CRQ), and best practices in secure system design.
  • Mindset & Collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning and applying emerging technologies.
