QA Analyst, Assessment Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a QA Analyst to join our Assessment department. Reporting to the QA Test Lead, the QA Analyst supports the quality assurance and quality control of software products through structured testing, defect management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The role focuses on executing and refining test activities, contributing to test planning and documentation, and ensuring that software solutions meet defined functional and user requirements. The QA Analyst works with moderate autonomy on assigned tasks and contributes to continuous improvement of QA processes. This role is fully remote within Canada. A Day in the Life of a QA Analyst at Esri Canada: Execute manual and automated test cases based on established test plans to validate functionality, usability, and performance. Develop, maintain, and enhance test plans, test cases, and test data to support effective test coverage. Analyze and validate business and functional requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability. Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring issues are reproducible, clearly described, and appropriately prioritized. Validate defect fixes and participate in defect triage activities in collaboration with development teams. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support testing across the software implementation lifecycle. Coordinate and execute testing activities, including integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Prepare QA metrics and provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues. What you bring to the team: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a related role. Demonstrated experience working with GIS applications, geospatial data, or GIS-enabled software products in a product-based or professional environment. Demonstrated experience using Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, software engineering, GIS, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Demonstrated knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and test lifecycle practices. Proven ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and cases. Demonstrated experience using defect tracking and test management tools within an Agile or iterative environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to identifying and troubleshooting defects. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions Bonus points for this position: Bilingual proficiency (English / French) is considered an asset. This role offers a base salary range of $73,700 to $87,500 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
