Job Description
The Investment Engineering & Analytics (IEA) team is responsible for delivering data, analytics, and tooling solutions that enable the investment teams within Active Equities (AE). The IEA team partners closely with Technology & Operations to develop, monitor, and maintain the data platform, investor tools, and technology solutions used by the department.
We are seeking an intern to join the Investment Engineering & Analytics team for an 8-month internship starting in the Winter of 2026. In partnership with a diverse team of professionals, IEA ensures that AE has the data, analytics, and infrastructure to support investment and research activities.
As an intern you will:

Support day-to-day operations of the IEA platform such as monitoring data quality and partnering with our Technology & Operations team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently for the investors

Design and implement data pipelines that produce value-added data sets for investment teams

Enhance our analytics platform that measures department and performance metrics
-
Build and maintain dashboards that surface portfolio metrics to AE management

Contribute to the development of custom internal tools that enhance our investment process

Learn AE’s business of fundamental equity investing and our role within the CPP Fund

Receive guidance and mentorship from senior members of the team to support your professional growth
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be graduating from an undergraduate program in December 2026 (or later) and is working towards a degree in a STEM or business field

You are proficient in at least one programming language and are familiar with Python
-
You have working knowledge of SQL and databases (Databricks experience is a plus)
-
You are familiar with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau experience is a plus)

You are interested in technology, investing, or data analytics
-
You want to learn about fundamental and systematic investing

You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and enjoy optimizing systems and workflows

You communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
