Job Title: Ceramist (Dental Technician)
Location: Vancouver, BC – Transcend Lab at Transcend Specialized Dentistry *Must be in Canada or able to work in Canada immediately.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $80,000–$120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Ceramic Artistry & Aesthetics
-
Apply expert layering techniques for crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported restorations to achieve natural aesthetics and translucency.

Perform precise shade matching and custom staining to replicate natural tooth characteristics, ensuring seamless integration with patient dentition.

Expertise
-
Work proficiently with various ceramic systems including lithium disilicate, zirconia, and feldspathic porcelains. Select appropriate materials based on clinical requirements.

Nice to have: CAD/CAM design experience and technical ability to complete cases from start to finish

Collaboration
-
Work directly with prosthodontists and CAD/CAM designers to interpret clinical requirements, discuss aesthetic goals, and maintain top-quality standards.

Participate in chairside consultations to evaluate shade, form, and aesthetics directly in the patient's mouth and work alongside prosthodontists during try-ins to make real-time adjustments and refinements.

Quality Control & Case Management

Inspect all ceramic work for accuracy in contour, occlusion, and aesthetics before final delivery.

Maintain organized workspace and assist in tracking case progress through the ceramic finishing stages.
Qualifications & Expectations

RDT in BC
-
Registered Dental Technician (RDT) or equivalent with ceramics specialty preferred, or equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise in ceramic work.

Experience
-
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ceramic layering and staining experience.

Proven expertise in anterior aesthetics, complex shade matching, and full-mouth rehabilitation cases.

Nice to have: CAD/CAM design experience and technical ability to complete cases from start to finish

Technical Proficiency

Expert knowledge of ceramic handling and finishing techniques.

Proficiency with various ceramic systems and their specific handling requirements.
