Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Product Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager builds marketing strategy to achieve new and live games' business goals. With a clear understanding of the business goal, this role involves shaping the brand identity, planning consumer-focused marketing strategies and programs to achieve targets, defining marketing priorities, leading the discussion with cross-functional teams for detailed planning, and ensuring execution with project leadership. During the process, the Senior Product Marketing Manager must also be closely aligned with game studios to ensure the marketing goal and programs are aligned with their development & live-ops plan. This role also requires building good relationships with external partners and lead agencies and staying updated on market trends.
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
In this role, you can expect to:

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Planning:

Identify marketing opportunities & tasks to achieve business goals for new and live titles.

Devise brand strategy, including brand identity, positioning, and key messaging.

Build marketing initiatives for new and live titles and lead discussions with cross-functional teams, including game studios.
-
Develop marketing campaign strategies based on game content plans and consumer insights to support the success of new and live titles.
-
Lead cross-functional discussions to develop detailed strategies and plans.
-
Work with Consumer Insights and Product Development to understand product appeal for various audience segments.

Marketing Strategy Execution:
-
Execute marketing programs to drive organic traffic that falls into branding activity area - i.e., PR, and partnerships.

Build a campaign calendar encompassing all activities and ensure consistent execution across all channels with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
-
Build product-focused presentations to evangelize key features and marketing roadmaps.
-
Build brand guidelines and lead communications with cross-functional team, especially for new games.
-
Build key branding asset plan and lead brainstorming process to ensure alignment with branding strategy and act as a center of branding-related communications .

Work with ASO manager to build a platform asset strategy that is highly integrated into game content roadmap and brand guideline .

Work with the Growth team to ensure growth marketing strategy is aligned with business goal along with creative strategy discussion to make sure alignment with target audience and key marketing initiatives.

Stay updated on competition and market trends to inform marketing strategies.

Relationship Management:

Build relationships with Game Development, and Licensing partners.

Oversee partner and vendor relationships for marketing initiatives.

Partner with Business Development to represent brands with 1st party partners.

Budget Management:

Assist in managing annual marketing budgets.
To be successful in this role, your background includes:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

7+ years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in the gaming industry.

Strategic thinker with a track record of achieving results.
