Prof. Mehmet Gumus is seeking a graduate and undergraduate student to provide research support for a project.
Project Title: AI-Driven Clinical Decision Support in Hypertension Management
Short Project Description: This project aims to advance hypertension research by combining clinical data collection with cutting-edge analytics. The team will digitize and expand existing datasets while also incorporating new data sources such as ECG, Echo, Pulse wave velocity, direct or indirect tonometry, Doppler ultrasound, oscillometric analysis, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Using machine learning and AI techniques, the project seeks to develop tools that improve the detection, monitoring, and management of hypertension and arterial stiffness assessment, ultimately supporting more informed clinical decision-making in hypertension management.
Undergraduate RA: Must be an Undergraduate student in McGill University. Must be able to collect, validate and clean data in a clinic setting.
Graduate RA: must be a graduate student in McGill University. Must know Python, and its AI/ML packages (such as Scikit-Learn) to analyze the data and can interact with the DataBase via SQL.
