Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada’s oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with three facilities across Canada. In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our food products division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils, and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets.
Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Millwright at our Yorkton - Oilseed location. Material Handling Operators are responsible for providing effective customer service of the daily processes within the operations areas of the logistics department. They must ensure that all operational procedures are executed safely within minimal non-conformance and business interruptions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
- Design, fabrication of parts to change equipment when necessary
- Use steam trap analysis including repairs to steam related equipment
- Maintain and update all schematics after work has been completed that pertain to the Mill
- Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards
- Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill
- Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance
- Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing ad pipe fitting skills
- Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation, boiler water treatment, and RO monitoring
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
- Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required
