Join Our Team as a Health & Safety Coordinator at Epiroc!
Your Mission:
The Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring the implementation and ongoing compliance of health and safety (H&S) requirements across designated sites. As the primary point of contact for incident response, audits, and customer liaison, this role plays a key part in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The coordinator supports both the H&S Compliance Lead and the Environmental & Quality Lead by providing accurate reporting and data management. This position reports directly to the H&S Compliance Lead. The preferred location is Lively, ON, with regular travel required within Canada.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary administrative contact for all Epiroc team members and sites regarding H&S requirements and protocols.

Act as the main liaison for all Epiroc customer platforms concerning SHEQ compliance and coordination
-
Conduct regular on-site visits and audits to verify adherence to health and safety regulations and corporate standards.
-
Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring timely documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
-
Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, ensuring traceability and compliance with audit standards.
-
Prepare and submit monthly H&S reports, statistics, and compliance summaries to leadership.

Assist in the development, review, and continuous improvement of H&S procedures, policies, and documentation to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with current regulations
-
Support and participate in the development, preparation, and delivery of H&S-related training, while contributing to H&S communications and awareness initiatives across teams.

Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits and support the implementation of the “My Epiroc Way” principles.
Your profile:
- Demonstrated understanding of incident investigation processes, hazard assessments, and return-to-work procedures.
- Solid knowledge of applicable Federal, Provincial, and Municipal health and safety regulations and standards.
- Previous experience in the mining, industrial or manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Experience delivering training sessions or holding a “Train-the-Trainer” certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge/experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 - preferred
- Post secondary school education in related field (i.e. Degree in Occupational Health and Safety)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Certified as an internal auditor for ISO 9001/ ISO 45001(Is an asset)
- Excellent attendance
- Clear driving record
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills, able to present in front of an audience
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Willing to travel more than 30% of the time
- Ability to represent Epiroc in a professional and ethical manner
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
