Landscape Crew Lead - Detail

We are seeking a passionate, hardworking, and experienced individual in the commercial landscaping industry to work with and lead our Detail Crew. The primary focus of this role is to lead by example as a working team member by following site schedules, adhering to all policies and procedures, and performing the daily tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and proactive problem-solving skills
- Maintain Clintar standards
- Actively participate in the completion of the daily work schedule
- Provide training, guidance and a steady work-pace to the crew
- Perform various landscaping tasks (lawn care, pruning, bed work, planting, etc.)
- Operate and drive work trucks and trailers
- Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters and chain saws
- Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required
- Ensure all Health & Safety and Clintar policies and procedures are consistently followed by all
- Enter and maintain crew timesheets daily in Aspire
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment and report any issues, damages, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience as a landscape maintenance crew lead / foreman
- Minimum one year professional garden maintenance experience – cultivating, weeding, edging, pruning, dead heading, etc.
- Two or more years of experience in grass cutting and trimming
- Basic plant identification and care knowledge
- Valid G driver’s license required
- Experienced driving truck and trailer
- Level 1 First Aid an asset
- Horticulture Diploma an asset
- Pesticide licence an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver timely results with minimal supervision
- Ability to work outdoors
- Excellent stamina
- Positive and professional team attitude
- Highly motivated and passionate about the business
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Frequently lift/or move up to 15kg (just over 30 lbs) and occasionally lift/or move up to 23kg (50 lbs)

Physically fit and able to work on feet, bend down and/or crouch for long periods of time

Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks

Frequently work in outside weather conditions and be exposed to heat, humidity, rain, wet conditions, noise and cold

Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals

Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis

Noise level in the work environment is moderate

Hearing protection and all other PPE must be worn in accordance with regulations
