About the role
Merit Ontario is a construction association supporting small to large construction companies with workforce needs across Ontario. Our talent specialists provide recruitment services and customized solutions to find quality candidates.
Our member is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimator / Project Manager to support daily operations and help manage project workload for their team in Kitchener, ON. Job Summary This role is responsible for estimating, sourcing materials, coordinating schedules, and supporting project execution from start to finish. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates well with customers and suppliers, and can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project estimates and cost breakdowns
- Source parts and equipment; obtain pricing and place orders
- Coordinate project scheduling and timelines
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide project updates
- Assist with updating and managing Health & Safety documentation and compliance
- Complete and submit TSSA applications as required
- Coordinate and manage permit applications
- Support overall project management and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in estimating and/or project management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with sourcing materials and supplier coordination
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements (Ontario experience preferred)
- Experience with TSSA applications and permitting processes is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project management tools
