About the role
Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Controller, Hotel, this position is responsible for coding supplier invoices, reconciling the Accounts Payable ledger, costing of monthly inventory reports and balancing cash/cr edit cards. Ensures adherence to the Company�s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian�s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Codes supplier invoices as per operational guidelines
- Reconciles the Accounts Payable Ledger with the General Ledger
- Assist with monthly inventory counts; costs inventory
- Counts, balan ces and reports cash and credit card receipts
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma; Po st Secondary accounting education or suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 years of experience in accounting and cash handling
- Food Safety Certificate
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expe ctations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office; accounting software experience an asset Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment Consi derations
- Regular office environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel required
