Overview

The Buyer is responsible for executing purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining accurate inventory and MRP data within the ERP system to support business demand, cost control, and on‑time delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Complete purchase requests with suppliers by inputting purchase orders, managing deliveries, and verifying all transactions
- Monitor and review material requirements on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy and support business demand, including, but not limited to, executing MRP and maintaining MRP configurations and planning parameters within the ERP system.
- Issue requests for quotes/proposals (RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers in accordance with the ethical code and standards of conduct maintaining the highest standard of professionalism
- Work with suppliers to handle concerns with regards to over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices
- Interface with QA team with regards to supplier non-conformances
- Authorize payment for purchases by reviewing invoices and related documentation
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals as set by management
- Maintain accuracy of stock code information within an ERP system, including lead-time, pricing, supplier information, purchase order data, etc.
- Other duties as required
Salary Range:$60,000 - $70,000/yr CAD
The final offer will be determined based on a combination of factors including skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
-Candidates at the lower end of the range will meet the core qualifications and demonstrate strong potential to grow within the role. -Mid-range offers reflect a solid match with the role’s technical and collaborative requirements. -Offers at the top of the range are reserved for candidates who bring exceptional qualifications, specialized expertise, or unique value that significantly exceeds the baseline expectations

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sourcing/supply chain management/New Product Introduction support or equal relevant experience
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills with strong work ethics
- Good knowledge and experience with ERP
- Capable of analyzing information from multiple data sources such as Salesforce, PLM system and ERP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, under pressure, while managing multiple tasks
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Proven ability to work within a team setting
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
- Understanding of demand-pull scheduling practices is desirable
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents and drawings is desirable
