Natpro - Inside Sales / Applications Specialist
About the role
DXP | Natpro is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Inside Sales / Applications Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Inside Sales / Applications Specialist will work closely with the Outside Sales team to review and develop comprehensive pumping solutions and generate formal quotations for our clients in multiple markets across Canada. In this role you will be reviewing RFQ’s, working with key suppliers and preparing proposals offering the best possible solution for multiple products in the industry. As the project moves to the next step you will be responsible for ensuring a clear and developed plan to forward to the Operations Team for execution.
Directly reports to: Customer Service Manager - Applications
Location: Any of our Natpro offices located in Canada - Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal, Brampton
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with inside sales, outside sales, sales management, and manufacturers’ representatives for Natpro’s represented products.
- Execute a full technical review and select appropriate equipment to meet client specifications provided in the Request for Quote (RFQ)
- Prepare comprehensive quotations for submission.
- Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, project pricing and special requirements.
- Ensure all quotations and orders are prepared and submitted as per schedule commitments.
- For orders/contracts, assist in preparing internal technical documentation such as sales order work sheets and purchase orders to various Suppliers. Initial loading of contracts into the corporate ERP system
- Complete a hand-over to the operations group that is thorough and complete for execution.
- Support operation group on:
- Technical review / approval of vendor data/dwg
- Client returned document / drawing revisions including Change Order requirements.
- Develop and maintain project activity reports indicating status (e.g. pre-feasibility, budget, RFQ)
- Work with the support team and management to further build on Natpro’s reputation as a knowledge-based company that provides technically superior, high-quality equipment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must Have:
- Two to five years rotating equipment experience.
- Understanding of process diagrams (P&ID, PFD)
- Ability to effectively present ideas and influence buying decisions.
- A thorough and demonstrated knowledge of the process involved in the represented markets and products
- Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment.
- Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Superior Organizational skills – a self-starter who can work independently with little supervision.
- Technical Education and Mechanical background
