About the role

Now Hiring: Health & Safety Coordinator

Location: Trenton Converting Mill – Trenton, ON Reports to: Health & Safety Manager

Keep our people safe and our floor running. We are looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Coordinator to work shoulder-to-shoulder with supervisors and crews at our Trenton Converting Mill. This is a floor-based role for someone who coaches in the moment, spots hazards before they become incidents, and builds a safety culture people trust.

What You'll Do

Reinforce compliance: Put safety programs and procedures into practice every shift, aligned to Ontario OHSA and WSIB. Inspect, investigate, prevent: Run audits and hazard assessments, support incident investigations and root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to close-out. Coach and champion: Give real-time feedback that builds accountability, and be a visible presence that makes safety an owned behaviour.

Qualifications – What You Bring

Education: Degree or post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, with relevant experience. Experience: 3–5 years in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Regulatory knowledge: Working knowledge of Ontario OHSA, WSIB, and applicable requirements; experience with audits and culture improvement. Credentials (an asset): A professional designation such as CRSP or CHSC will set you apart. Engagement & Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior management, paired with proven technical proficiency in a range of software programs.

Work Environment

Significant time on the manufacturing/converting floor; industrial equipment, noise, fast pace. Flexibility for multiple shifts. PPE required in all production areas.

Salary & Compensation
