About the role

Full Job Description We are currently seeking a Millwright / Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This role sits within the maintenance department and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to lead and oversee the maintenance program for the facility.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure equipment performs at peak efficiency. The incoming hire will receive hands-on training on specific machinery in use. Leadership actively supports investment in new equipment and quality replacement parts.

This is a stable, people-focused employer with approximately 60-65 employees. Management is involved, accessible, and knowledgeable across production. This is a Monday to Friday day shift (44 hours/week) with no mandatory overtime and very low call-in frequency (0-3 nights per year), providing excellent work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment (mechanical, minor electrical, plumbing)
  • Maintain plasma cutters, CNC drills, punching machines, robotic welders, band saws, pumps, and related systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of conveyor, compressor, lighting, and racking systems
  • Perform maintenance on pumps (centrifugal, submersible, progressive cavity), mixers, and gearboxes
  • Clean and maintain automated and robotic equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
  • Install, align, and relocate stationary industrial machinery
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices during setup and repair
  • Fabricate parts and repair/replace worn components
  • Liaise with contractors as needed
  • Maintain safe and orderly work environment

Qualifications

  • Millwright 443A or equivalent experience
  • Working at Heights, Crane, Forklift certifications are assets
  • Valid G driver's licence
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience (experience up to 600V is an asset)
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment
  • Knowledge of robotics and PLCs is an asset
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills
  • OHSA familiarity and compliance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied physical positions
  • Ability to work overtime if required
