As the Multi Skilled Worker, you are responsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment for our residents, employees, and visitors through a variety of support duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive table service to residents during meal times.
- Perform laundry services, ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of residents' garments.
- Remove garbage promptly and maintain sanitary waste disposal practices.
- Deliver supplies and meals efficiently to designated areas or residents.
- Conduct enhanced and thorough cleaning of high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Engage in meaningful social interaction with residents to promote emotional well-being.
- Ensure residents live in a secure environment by patrolling the building, investigating unauthorized access, and reporting violations appropriately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and procedures.
- Submit detailed written reports of hazards, incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries to the manager.
- Follow established infection control practices to prevent the spread of illness.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the facility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Food Safe certificate is required
- Experience in an aging adults setting is an asset
- Completion of Highschool Diploma is an asset
- Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset
- Superior organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
Conditions of Employment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear Police Information Check
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
