Our client, a community-focused, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and families across multiple rural counties, is seeking a Senior Manager of Finance & Accounting to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Accounting Manager, you lead the Finance and Accounting team, drive financial strategy and operations in alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, values, and strategic goals. The ideal candidate is down-to-earth, professional, highly organized, and able to multitask. They think critically and strategically, work independently, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Reporting to the Director, Shared Services, the main responsibilities include:

• Oversee all finance and accounting functions
• Manage interactions with staff, vendors and government entities
• Lead and supervise a team of finance and accounting professionals
• Review and approve all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Manage cash flow and ensure financial stability
• Prepare, analyze, and report quarterly financial results with findings and recommendations
• Monitor forecasts, budgets, revenue, expense variances, and generate income statements
• Produce year-to-date, monthly and quarterly expenditure reports
• Prepare year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors
• Annually update and renew commercial and directors' liability insurance policies

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Post-secondary degree in public or business administration, commerce, accounting or a related discipline
• CPA designation
• 5 – 7 years of finance, accounting, payroll, and project management experience
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience
• Strong proficiency with Office 365, especially Excel

Assets (nice to have)

• Not-for-profit experience
• Experience within a multi-disciplinary team in a healthcare or social service setting

What’s the Bottom Line:

• $87,000 - $103,000 annual salary range
