Responsibilities:
Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Customers
Ensure daily communication with Leader
Respond to service calls in a timely and effective manner
Plan, install and service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls - These piping systems may be used to transport water, waste, gases, and/or hot liquids
Size, install, test, adjust and service natural gas and propane equipment ranging from residential furnaces to industrial boilers
Maintain and repair existing plumbing
Willing to train and mentor an Apprentice Plumber
Work with Plumbing Administrator to ensure proper tracking of time, parts and materials used
Responsible for all daily mechanical jobs and Plumbers
Dispatching Plumbers for site mechanical calls
Organizing all PM mechanical inspections/deficiencies with Leader
Follow up with all mechanical contractors and operational calls
Working with Leader to communicate any updates to Area Coordinators and Regional Directors
Assisting with any mechanical follow-ups that are needed
Working with Capital / Schedulers team for any mechanical issues
Work with Leader to adhere to the Operational and Capital budget
Occasional training of site staff to build knowledge of our mechanical rooms
Complete all required administration for the position
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Valid Journeyman Certificate/Red Seal endorsed as a Plumber and Gasfitter (B)
Three years residential/commercial experience
Hydronic heating experience
Cross Connection certified
Technical Requirements:
Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
Valid Driver’s license required
Computer skills an asset
Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset
Non-Technical Requirements:
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service

Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained

Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and be flexible in nature

Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and assertiveness
Ability to lift weight in excess of 25 kilograms, and heavy piping
Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and work in cramped positions
