About the role
Interlake School Division invites applications for the following EA position:
- 6.0 Hours/Day Woodlands School
Working under the direction of a Learning Support teacher, classroom teacher or a clinician, the Educational Assistant will supplement the regular instructional programs for students, by assisting students in their intellectual, social and emotional development.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma.
- Enjoy working with children and have a basic understanding of their needs.
- Well developed numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to contribute as a team member & willingness to accept guidance and supervision from professional staff.
- A sense of discretion that respects the privacy and integrity of those with whom he/she is associated.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Be a positive influence on the team atmosphere.
- Related course work such as the Educational Assistant Program Diploma (University of Winnipeg) or the Child Care Services Diploma (Red River College Polytechnic) would be considered an asset.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hourly Rate: $18.51 - $24.94 / hr

ISD is comprised of 13 public school sites, 8 colony schools, and one off-campus program encompassing nearly 3000 total square kilometres of land in Manitoba’s Interlake region. The quality and diversity of programming available in the ISD’s schools is exceptional.
