About the Role
We’re looking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our growing team of rehabilitation and disability management professionals. This role is based on-site with one of our clients in the York Region, Ontario, with some flexibility to work remotely when supporting other sites.
You’ll provide care and guidance to employees, helping them return to work safely, manage illness and injury, and promote overall health and wellness in the workplace.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) maternity leave replacement position.
What You’ll Do
- Support employees through injury, illness, and return-to-work programs.
- Manage occupational (WSIB) and non-occupational (STD/LTD) claims.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Lead and participate in wellness and mental health initiatives.
- Administer fit-for-duty assessments, medical surveillance programs, and immunizations.
- Provide emergency response and first aid as required.
- Collaborate with management, physicians, and EHS teams on accommodations and health initiatives.
- Contribute to prevention and education programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
What You’ll Bring
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- 3–5 years of nursing experience; 2–5 years in Occupational Health preferred
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-C or DOHN) or willingness to obtain
- Strong knowledge of disability management and related legislation
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications
