Job Description Position : Automation Engineer co-op
Number of Position(s) : 1
Duration : 4 months +
Date : January 2026 - April 2026
Location : Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada
Education Recommendations Currently a candidate for a Master’s, Bachelor’s degree, or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with an accredited school in US or Canada.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn As part of the Security Product R&D team, you’ll contribute to the development and deployment of automation solutions for distributed systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience in scripting, monitoring, and improving deployment processes while collaborating with internal teams and customers.
You will:
- Develop automation scripts for deploying large-scale distributed systems.
- Instrument and monitor deployment processes to track improvements.
- Coordinate internal and customer deployment activities.
- Document and share knowledge on continuous improvements.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing and validation.
Key Skills And Experience You have:
- Working knowledge of Java, Python, or TypeScript.
- Interest or experience in Linux-based development and deployment environments.
- Bonus: familiarity with Shell programming.
Nice to have:
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.
