Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: The Financial Analyst – Trade Spend and Post Audit Claims role is responsible for managing and reconciling customer deductions and post-audit claims, ensuring they align with customer agreements and are accurately reflected in financial reporting. The role involves reviewing and validating claims, disputing invalid deductions, and collaborating closely with Sales and customer teams to resolve issues and optimize trade spend outcomes. It also requires tracking and analyzing deduction trends, providing insights to support decision-making and improve recovery rates. Acting as both a key control point and business partner, the analyst helps minimize financial risk while driving process improvements, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will: Act as first line of defense for customer post audit claims: review, classify, reconcile, and resolve post-audit deductions; dispute invalid claims directly with customers and track outcomes Partner with Sales as a subject matter expert; provide guidance on trade spend, post audit claims resolution, and customer agreements to influence financially favorable decisions Own post audit claims tracking, reporting, and analytics: maintain claim logs, analyze deduction trends, and provide insights to Sales and Finance leadership Lead knowledge transfer and support third-party recovery partners; prioritize recovery opportunities and validate recovered funds Support operational and ad hoc activities including pricing issue resolution, deduction clearing with OTC, reporting, and trade/customer data support What we look for: Years and Type of Experience: 2-5 years of financial analysis experience (CPG and eComm experience an asset) Strong financial analytical capabilities and forecast experience General accounting theory and financial statement preparation Demonstrated advanced Excel and strong financial modeling experience. Working knowledge of AS400 (LX), Cognos & Essbase an asset Previous exposure and solid understanding of other functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Product Supply) Skills and Abilities Leadership & influence: Able to work and share insights with cross-functional team and contribute to generating ideas and solutions for continuous improvement; proactively reaches out to finance and cross-functional peers to gather information. Analytical & decision-making: Demonstrates ability to isolate core issues, communicate risks and opportunities to managers within a timely manner. Analyzes data and maintains clear decision criteria when making decisions. Demonstrates sound judgment and logical reasoning. Adaptation & flexibility: Demonstrates flexibility in a changing work environment, and demonstrates confidence and personal drive to obtain desired results. Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills with business and customer team.
