Product Development Engineer
About the role
One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a Product Development Specialist in London, ON region for their facility.
Pay

$60K - $75K
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and continuously update the costing database to support Business Development, Advanced Engineering, and Product Engineering functions.
- Assess product castability and complexity to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
- Maintain and utilize quotation models, ensuring alignment with current cost structures, standards, and manufacturing practices.
- Collect, analyze, and retain critical data related to tooling, capital investments, and component-level costs.
- Maintain detailed records of existing product data, including cycle times, shot-to-part weight ratios, scrap factors, and overhead rates.
- Evaluate the impact of dimensional tolerances on manufacturing feasibility, cost, and quality performance.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and cost breakdowns to customers as required.
- Update quotation and costing models in accordance with forward program procedures from initial quoting through run-at-rate production.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Background Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or an equivalent
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in product development, costing, or engineering within a die casting or manufacturing environment
