Your future role on our team
You’ll be supervised by the chief accountant and will perform a range of tasks for our Finance and Accounting department. Your responsibilities will include month-end processes, various monthly and quarterly analyses, budget variance reviews and other related duties.
With us, you’ll get the opportunity to:
- Prepare monthly analyses of consolidated financial results and management metrics (e.g., billable hours, utilization rates, FTE, average rates) to explain variances and budget gaps
- Support the Accounting team in reviewing revenue and work in progress for engineering projects
- Prepare monthly presentations for senior management and quarterly presentations for boards and shareholders
- Prepare income statements for offices and business units and help them track their financial performance metrics
- Assist Shared Services in budget monitoring
- Manage the annual budgeting process and update the financial projection model (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) for a three-year projection
- Design and develop financial models and analysis tools for special projects and provide well-founded recommendations
- Participate in financial analyses for business acquisitions

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- From 5 to 10 years of professional experience in financial management for a services firm
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting or finance
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients located in English-speaking Canadian provinces and abroad; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel
- Asset: experience in a services firm
- Asset: professional designation (CPA)
- Asset: experience with an enterprise resource planning platform (Maconomy) and Power BI
